Edwardsville is the last remaining undefeated team in the area as the Tigers take over the top spot in this week’s HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 rankings. CBC drops from the top spot after losing games last weekend at the Rock Bridge Tournament while Francis Howell joins the list after winning the tourney title. John Burroughs also joins the top 10 after an outstanding start to the season.

 

  1. Edwardsville (15-0)
    • The Tigers won six games last week including a pair of contests in Normal, Ill., and will take on Alton in two single games this week before heading to Ozark, Mo., for a pair of games.
  1. Breese Central (18-1)
    • The Cougars won four games last week before dropping their first contest of the year Mascoutah Saturday and will Take on Salem Tuesday evening to start their week.
  1. Timberland (11-3)
    • The Wolves rebounded with a win over Liberty after dropping a pair of games to Howell Central and will play Holt in two key GAC matchups this week.
  1. Seckman (11-1)
    • The Jaguars won games over Pattonville and Parkway South last week and will take on Lindbergh to open their action this week.
  1. Howell (15-5)
    • The Vikings enter this week’s list after winning the Rock Bridge Tournament with a perfect 5-0 record over the weekend and will play Fort Zumwalt West in another Key GAC pair of games this week.
  1. Fort Zumwalt West (18-6)
    • The Jaguars finished the week with a 4-3 record with those losses coming at the Rock Bridge Tournament and will take on Howell Tuesday and Wednesday in a couple of GAC games.
  1. Belleville East (13-2)
    • The Lancers won four games last week including a pair of victories over Alton and will have two games against O’Fallon this week in SWC play.
  1. CBC (14-6)
    • Lost five times last week in trips to Las Vegas and Columbia, Mo., and will look to bounce back as the Cadets take on SLUH Tuesday.
  1. St. Dominic (14-5)
    • The Crusaders won their only game last week over Borgia and will take on St. Mary’s in an AAA conference contest Tuesday night.
  1. John Burroughs (13-2)
    • The Bombers crack the top 10 list on a two-game winning streak and will have a pair of games against MICDS this week in Metro League play.
